Georgia Tech vs. Alabama A&M – November 23, 2013

Alabama A&M: 7
Georgia Tech: 66

Nine days removed from a disappointing performance at Clemson, Georgia Tech returned home for a rare late-season non-conference game against the FCS Alabama A&M Bulldogs.

In the first-ever meeting between the two schools, the result was never in doubt. Georgia Tech scored early and often en route to a 52-0 lead at halftime. The Jackets spread the ball around well, with Synjyn Days notching two rushing scores, and Zach Laskey, Robert Godhigh, David Sims, and Matt Connors each adding single scores of their own. Harrison Butker also added a field goal midway through the first quarter.

Connors and Tim Byerly added single scores in the third and fourth quarters, respectively for the final fourteen points.

Alabama A&M’s lone score came with 5:17 left in the contest when Jaymason Lee connected with Demario Ross for a 20 yard touchdown pass.

The victory put Tech at 7-4 on the season, while it capped off the 2013 campaign for Alabama A&M, who finished with a record of 4-8, overall.
